Our Swivel (open / close) Chute Blocker Plate is specifically designed to fit Ferris 400S with 48 deck mowers (NOTE the deck size). The installation is really easy. Simply unbolt the factory chute by undoing just a few bolts and attach our chute blocker plate with the provided nylon locking hardware and you’re done! Please note that you should NOT tighten the nuts all the way tight because the nylon locking nuts will ensure they stay in place, you need the nut to be loose because that’s how the chute blocker can open and close without interference. Now you have mulch machine! Or rather, you have a zero turn mower than won’t throw rocks or any hazard randomly at your house / car / window / etc. This is essential when you’re working on long overdue / heavily grassed / weeded areas.
