I present for your inspection this very nice single owner (kinda), very clean 60 eXmark commercial mower with a 23HP Kawasaki liquid cooled engine, UltraCut deck, and it only has 1,100 hours. I’ll explain the’ kinda’ one owner and that will give you the rundown on the full history of the machine. I used it for three years until I got a spectacular deal on a more hillside stable Turf Tiger in a now discontinued configuration. At that time, the eXmark machine had 800 hours on it. I passed it on to my dad to use on his personal lawn with the understanding that the special price I gave him was to make up for me needing to use it from time to time as a backup for the new one. From then until now it has just been used by him to mow his own lawn with the exception of 3 or 4 days when my regular mower had a breakdown and I needed to use it. The important thing about all this is that it has never been used by a crew full of knuckleheads with no equity stake in its proper care and maintenance. It has always been owner operated, well cared for, maintained, and stored inside. Its hour meter also shows the actual number of hours – it has never been disconnected, as is the very common practice in the industry. The mower looks like a peach in the pictures because it is one. Along with the pics, I have also included a video link of it running so you can hear how great it sounds. I should note that there are a few upgrade pieces on this mower that are aftermarket. When I was switching machines a few years back, I ended up with an extra suspension seat. It is a very nice upgrade. It’s expensive, but much cheaper than back surgery. At least cheaper than back surgery with this country’s health system anyway. We also added a deck lift foot petal that is both easier to use and allows you to feather the deck over uneven terrain. Lastly, we added a light set that I will pretend I did not use for cutting in the dark because that would, of course, be unsafe. These are the trailer hitch unit and the discharge cute blocker. The original discharge cute will be reinstalled for the purchaser. The last thing I should probably tell you is that eXmark is rather hard to follow in their naming practices. When we bought this machine it was called the “Lazer Z liquid cooled” and is model number Model LZ23LKA604. About two years after that, they changed the name to “Lazer Z XP liquid cooled” with very few actual design changes. The model ran with this nomenclature for a very long time and that is the nomenclature you are likely to find on most of the closest comparison machines you research. EXmark has a current model called the “Lazer Z DS” that is basically a diesel version of the same thing and seems to have been renamed when they dropped gasoline options. So far as I know, this series of oft renamed models has been the only horizontal shaft engine 4-wheel eXmark offering. Over the long history of this model, a variety of vertical shaft models have come and gone. I expect that this model has persisted because it fits the niche of having a much longer lifespan horizontal shaft liquid cooled engine at the expense of hillside stability.
